The objective of Peabody Youth Hockey is to provide to the youth of Peabody the opportunity to learn and play the sport of ice hockey in a safe and controlled environment consistent with the existing USA and MASS Hockey Guidelines.

Learn To Skate & Whack A Puck Programs

Day & Time: Sunday / 5:50-6:40pm

January 7th thru Sunday, March 11th

Location: McVann-O’Keefe Rink – 511 Lowell St, Peabody


Learn to Skate Program 2nd session:

Cost: Ten-Week Session; $75

Requirements: Ages 5 years or older

Equipment Required: Skates, helmet with cage, gloves (not cloth)

*** (Elbow & knee pads are strongly recommended)

Description: This program is designed for children with (1) year or less skating experience

- T-Shirt and end of session pizza party provided


Whack A Puck Program - 2nd session:

Cost: Ten-Week Sessions; $150

Requirements: Ages 5 years or older; completed (1) year of LTS or equivalent

Equipment Required: Full hockey gear (skates, helmet with cage, elbow, knee, chest pads, gloves) and ice hockey stick

Description: 30 minutes skills (agility, stick-handling, shooting, passing) followed by 20 minutes cross ice game simulation

Team Shirt, Pizza Party, and Trophy provided


Participants of BOTH Programs MUST register with USA Hockey at

USA Hockey registration is an additional $48 fee (ages 7+)

A USA Hockey ID is required to register for all PYH programs
